Tagaytay Intimate Wedding Venues

In this issue, we will take you to intimate wedding venues in Tagaytay. Each property will surely make your once-in-a-lifetime event infinitely memorable!

As more couples opt for non-traditional weddings, the wedding business is constantly changing. Intimate weddings are becoming more and more popular, and we believe this is because of a different kind of vibe. As cheesy as it may sound, it’s the warm fuzzy kind of feeling. People are buzzing because they are spending time with their favourite people, so the love is evident. And as a result, you’ll get to know your visitors better and spend more time with them!

With this in mind, we put together a list of intimate wedding venues in Tagaytay. These hotels, located in a cooler part of the sunny Philippines, provide high-quality accommodations, services, and venues. Guests will be treated to sweeping views of Taal Lake as well as a certain level of seclusion, making your wedding day itself relaxing, romantic, and infinitely special!

Tagaytay Intimate Wedding Venues

1. The Inn at Cliffhouse

The wedding venue here at Cliffhouse is called Clear Water House. This charming garden is just the right setting for a rustic outdoor wedding of up to 350 guests. At night, with all the fairy lights aglow, this space turns into a romantic haven. It’s truly an excellent venue to celebrate love with close friends and family in a comfortable, ideal setting.

Not only is the wedding venue here intimate, but so is the entire facility. Couples who are tired of crowded streets and concrete jungles will be whisked away from that stressful reality when they come to the Inn at Cliffhouse. Hidden in plain view along Tagaytay’s slopes and favorably located right along the main ridge, this getaway is designed to provide a safe harbour to anyone who stays in one of its four lighthouse-inspired suites. Personalized service and discretion go hand in hand here, which is also perfect for those longing for peaceful, quiet times with the right amount of pampering with the added bonus of having leisurely access to some of the town’s best restaurants and dishes.

Spacious suites for wedding staycations

Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a hot cup of cocoa and then shown to our suite. The Inn at Cliffhouse also has some of the most spacious suites we’ve seen, each creatively named after iconic lighthouses in North America. We stayed at the beautiful Minot’s Lodge, a 100-meter square corner luxury suite, which has its own well-stocked minibar and a balcony granting a magnificent panoramic view of the lake beyond. A jacuzzi sits on that balcony – the perfect spot to enjoy a drink or read a book. The property also offers an in-house massage service, a definite must for couples looking to relax before the big event.

Multiple dining options

Since Cliffhouse is actually a complex, guests do not need to venture out to enjoy a nice meal. They will that all your guests would have ample time to delight in your company as well as the rest of the group. Plus, all room bookings also come with an exquisite 3-course English breakfast for two. For lunch, dinner, and snacks, there are cafes and restaurants within the complex. Buon Giorno Cafe & Bistro serves Italian fare, while Concha’s Garden Cafe will treat hungry sojourners to authentic Filipino cuisine. For dessert and a caffeine fix, Rowena’s and UCC Clockwork will hit the right spots. Themed dinner nights anyone?

We also highly recommend dining at Fire Lake Grill. With Chef Paul Huang at its helm, guests can enjoy mouthwatering rib eye steaks, fresh seafood entrees, and classic desserts with a local twist. Plus, the menu here is perfect for celebrations like an intimate pre-wedding dinner party, which you could transition into a swinging, private party in your room or across an extensive, private balcony overlooking the lake.

2. Discovery Country Suites

Tagaytay is a favorite when it comes to destination weddings because of the great view, gentle climate, and slower pace. It’s very conducive to rest and relaxation, which would greatly benefit the tired bride and groom-to-be. Discovery Country Suites leverages their location’s natural charms by providing an upgraded bed & breakfast-style abode, made to feel personal and exclusive by an expertly-trained staff.

This manor is made up of seven suites named and decorated after seven magnificent cities around the world. All the rooms are spacious with roomy ensuite bathrooms, and most offer a porch or a veranda where guests can sit and enjoy a delicious breakfast while taking in the picturesque scenery beyond. Each morning of our stay here was a delight as we always had a leisurely-long breakfast that almost always extended too close to early lunch.

Features an award-winning restaurant

What sets this property apart is the award-winning Restaurant Verbena headed by Chef Jayjay Sycip. Chef Sycip and his team use fresh ingredients from the locale to create true culinary masterpieces which are just delectable pieces of art. Couples who’d like privacy for their special day (or even the days leading up to and after it) can rent the whole place out!

This package is called Exclusively Yours, which gives guests exclusive use of all the premises except Restaurant Verbena Couples can feel right at home with up to 25 of their closest family and friends and enjoy a specially prepared menu for their party.

High level of personalized service

What also made our stay at Discovery Country Suites so memorable was the level of personalized service you are pampered with when you step into the lobby. We were presented with fresh welcome drinks and flowers upon arrival, which was such a pleasant surprise. Our favorite would be the wine & cheese served at sundown. They also serve milk and cookies for turndown. Feel like having a movie night? They also serve juice and popcorn for this! The entire property staff also knew our names and went out of their way to make us feel truly at home – a signature mark of the Discovery brand.

Our suite had direct access to the heated outdoor jacuzzi, which was convenient. Though they don’t have a dedicated spa within the premises, the property was able to arrange for one and the in-room massage we got was top-notch and easily one of the best 60-minute massages we’ve had! A delightful mix of top-of-the-line cuisine and a level of service which we could say is one of the best in the industry, Discovery Country Suites truly offers the complete staycation package.

3. Nara Hill

Narra Hills Tagaytay

Modern versions of the traditional nipa huts

Nestled within lush gardens overlooking the glistening waters of Taal Lake is Narra Hill. Those who sincerely want to disconnect and just get away from it all will love it here. This peaceful slice of Tagaytay offers 4 modern adaptations of traditional Filipino nipa huts or kubos that blend an ingenious mix of local materials with contemporary fixtures and amenities – and 2 premium rooms for their guests to stay in. Each one is fully air-conditioned and has the necessary amenities for an overnight stay.

For weddings, Narra Hill offers but one package – exclusive use of their premises. From 7:00 AM to 12 midnight, the celebrants can do the preparations, ceremony, and reception without interruption from non-guests. Unlike other wedding venues, Narra Hill allows the couple freedom to choose whichever caterer they want without charging a hefty corkage fee.

Moreover, the ceremonies are usually held in the open garden while receptions take place in the elevated pavilion. This roofed events space has floor-to-ceiling windows that give guests an uninterrupted view of a Taal sunset. The bar here overlooks a creek, a lagoon, a waterfall, and two gardens. It’s just the right venue for a wedding that’s not too big but not too intimate either. The ambiance, however, is one of the most romantic there is, especially at night.

An intimate connection with nature

What makes Narra Hill stand out is how guests can really go “off the grid” here. There are no televisions, wifi, or even LTE signal for mobile phones in the rooms. This back-to-basics experience will encourage people to appreciate the present moment, the natural surroundings, and the pleasure of the company they’re in. Truly an intimate wedding experience in Tagaytay, both in terms of the venue and the overall stay!

Instead of spending time looking at ceaseless screens, guests can also take a dip in the small outdoor pool by the kubos or in the infinity pool by the premier suites. There’s also a spa with two massage rooms, a hot tub, and a sauna. During our stay, we exquisitely enjoyed our in-room massage at dusk, complete with a massage table and aromatic oils.

Every endearing aspect and thoughtful feature of this lovely property – the sumptuous meals, the dedicated personal service of its capable staff, the spacious baths replete with the accompanying view, and even the local taho served right at your doorstep – is all taken a notch higher with a unique, resplendent vista of Tagaytay’s magical ridges that’s unique to Narra Hill. Far different from the usual overlooking view of the lake, this sprawling property affords you a closer vantage point of Taal plus a sweeping side view of Tagaytay’s ranges which appears endlessly dreamy, covered in the early morning or late afternoon fog.

4. Qiwellness Living

Qiwellness Living fuses centuries-old Chinese practices and decor with edgy, modern flavor and top-of-the-line amenities and services. Arriving guests are greeted with a strike of a traditional chau gong, elegantly announcing their arrival. Crisp, welcome cocktails follow this in the properties’ exquisite, overlooking balcony which gives you one of the best ridge views of the iconic volcano and lake. We suggest you go before 5 pm to fully enjoy the view and wait for the gentle sunset – drinks in hand, this alone is worth the trip.

As a wedding venue, Qiwellness Living is perfectly sized for intimate weddings of up to 40 people. The ceremony can take place at the teahouse’s open deck where couples can say “I do” surrounded by Tagaytay’s majestic cool breeze. The reception can be held at the three dining spaces – right there on the open deck, in the open courtyard, or inside the dining hall with a great lake view. Couples who want to their “big day” to actually be a cozy one shared with their closest family and friends will find Qiwellness Living a very fitting, dream venue.

There are but two options when it comes to accommodations, called “the guesthouse”. The room called “Escape” is for couples who’d like to escape a busy life and spend a night in seclusion. The “Eunuchs & Concubines” room is ideal for a group of 4 to 6 guests who want a relaxing getaway, perfect for your pre-wedding bridal party with the girls.

Famous for different types of massages

Their in-house spa center is called “the bathhouse” and it offers different kinds of massages and spa packages. All checked-in guests can avail of a free 45-min foot reflexology massage and a 90-min silk signature massage. This includes access to the yin-yang hot & cold soaking pools, which we tried and thoroughly enjoyed before getting our massages. Going between strikingly different temperatures seems like a recipe for a cold, but the contrast strikes a comfortable balance in our bodies and is actually quite stimulating.

The Qireflexology for two by the adjacent pools overlooking the lake is available between 4 to 9PM, or at 11AM the next day. It also has one of the best reflexology massages we’ve had among the properties on the ridge. And when combined with its graphic, modern interiors and distinct design style, it makes for an unforgettable experience!

We also liked how all overnight guests are offered a complimentary breakfast of Chinese congee and dim sum. We enjoyed ours out on the deck in full view of the scenic Taal Lake as the backdrop. The comforting flavors paired with the calm scenery were one of our favorite memories in this place. We also had a romantic candlelight dinner for two and tried the 10-course “Yin Yang” degustation menu at the teahouse made up of succulent numbers like tuna tartare plus caviar, lapsang suchong smoked prawn, foie gras paté, and veal cheeks. The quality is honestly almost a steal for its price. So, be prepared for a gastronomic delight!
