10 Things to Do on your Honeymoon at The Danna Langkawi

1. Be surrounded by stunning views of nature

The Danna Langkawi 1

Built on the edge of a marina and backed against cascading hills of lush rainforest, The Danna Langkawi overlooks calm seas and blue skies. Need I say more? The description alone had us hopping on a plane. Upon arriving at the airport, we got whisked away in a private car and presented with cool towels to freshen up with – how refreshing! A quick 15-minute drive later (11km away), we arrived at the beautiful hotel.

The Danna Langkawi 2

The Danna Langkawi is located on Telega Harbour along the Kok Beach (Pantai Kok), constructed to resemble a Mediterranean-style harbour town of the French Riviera. The nearby surroundings of The Danna Langkawi present many gems – Perdana Quay (north side of the harbour), which boasts a number of restaurants, bistros and art stores and Petronas Quay (south side) host souvenir stores, fast food restaurants and bakeries. If you are looking to further your explorations, the jetty to Koh Lipe (a Thailand island) is located within the Petronas Quay, so extending your honeymoon can be super convenient.

The Viceroy Suite (65m²)

I find the most exciting part of visiting a new resort is checking out the accommodations. From the very moment we entered our room at The Danna Langkawi, we were blown off our feet. The Viceroy Room (65m²) gazed out into a panoramic view of the bay and the hotel’s large infinity pool, thanks to the full-length windows. The private balcony would soon be my favourite place to hang out. The room also featured a spacious walk-in wardrobe that leads into a roomy bathroom made complete with two sinks and a rain shower. With a pillow menu to complete the luxe experience, at that very moment, our vacation felt perfect.

If you love sunbathing, we suggest for you to stay in the Grand Viceroy (65 – 75m²). Located on the highest floor, it comes with a large private terrace that is furnished with sun-loungers. It overlooks breathtaking views of the bay and ocean, right from your bathtub. Take a virtual tour here.

The Countess Suite

The Danna Langkawi has 5 categories of rooms and 3 categories of suites for you to choose from. See their rooms here. Each and every room is exquisitely designed. The style simulates modern luxury, yet not forgoing traditional touches in its furnishings. I absolutely loved the charming wooden four-poster bed frame, made complete with plush bedding that gave me restful sleep for the 3 days we were there.

The Danna Langkawi is also expanding their room categories to offer villas, perfect for intimate celebrations like engagement parties! Check out the artist impressions here.

4. Soak up the sunshine at the biggest infinity pool in Langkawi

The Danna Langkawi houses the biggest infinity pool (51.2 x 15m) in Langkawi. It is absolutely massive and even on a busy day, you might feel that you are one of the only few people swimming. The pool has different sections of shallow (0.7m) and deeper (1.35m) waters, and it is also accented with whirlpool streams and jacuzzi jets! Taking a dip here while looking out into the beach is one of the activities you must-do when at this resort.
