The pool is especially fun for the babies; our little Ally loved going down the mini water slide too!

The enchanting Latest Recipe serves as a stage for a culinary spectacle, showcasing an abundance of seasonal local ingredients and an explosion of vibrant flavours that define our sumptuous buffet breakfast. A true ode to local cuisine, the restaurant presents an impressive selection that captures the heart of Malaysia’s vibrant culture.  I could not resist indulging in the beloved Roti Canai, a personal favourite that took me on a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Additionally, the inclusion of 63-degree eggs, a breakfast staple from Singapore, evoked a sense of comfort and familiarity. Their soft-boiled eggs are also pretty great!

We were also pleasantly surprised to discover that Latest Recipe at Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur boasts a sugar cane extractor machine, ready to freshly press the refreshing goodness of sugar cane juice in an instant. This is not something that you would come across often in hotels. Furthermore, their selection of healthy juices was a real treat as well. What caught our attention was the option to request no extra sugar, allowing health-conscious patrons to savour the goodness of the juices without compromise. It is truly these little things that give you an exceptional hotel experience.

6. Experience exceptional dining at the Top 5 Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

For lunch or dinner, head over to Gastro Sentral, deemed as the Top 5 Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. Located on the ground floor of Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur, this exquisite restaurant is the hotel’s modern take on the classic English resto-pub. They are renowned for mouthwatering burgers, but they also delight guests with a range of enticing plant-based options to cater to diverse palates.

Since 2012, Gastro Sentral has ignited a fervour of interest and anticipation among seasoned globetrotters and local residents of Kuala Lumpur. The dining experience itself speaks volumes. On our own visit, Gastro Sentral exceeded expectations. The Avocado Burger, a standout highlight, was a symphony of flavours with its harmonious blend of tomato crab salad and luscious mango aioli – an absolute delight for the senses. Gastro Sentral’s Teriyaki Roasted Cod (which had delicious udon noodles and cod that melts in your mouth) and Seafood Aglio Olio Pepperoncino tasted amazing as well. Though do note that the latter packs a punch, but nonetheless great if you can take the heat.
