Where Island Life Meets Modern Luxury on White Beach: The Lind Boracay Review

There are plenty of reasons why Boracay remains one of the Philippines’ most beloved island destinations. Beyond its powdery white sands and crystal-clear waters, the island has long captured the attention of travellers around the world. It was named the Top Island in the World by Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards in 2016, before taking the top spot as Best Island in Asia in 2019. Today, its iconic White Beach remains the heart of the island, offering beautiful shores, vibrant sunsets, or a little adventure in between.

And while Boracay can certainly be lively, there is also a quieter, more polished side to the island. This is where The Lind Boracay comes in. Opened in 2015, The Lind Boracay is a 118-room beachfront resort with three restaurants, including the modern Thai restaurant Yím, an infinity pool overlooking the beach, a spa, and event venues for weddings and celebrations on Station 1 of White Beach, Boracay. It is also the flagship property of The Lind, a brand built around modern living and the warm hospitality of Filipino service culture.

The resort’s reputation has also continued to grow. Perhaps the resort’s most notable milestone came in 2025, when The Lind Boracay became the first hotel on the island to be recommended by the MICHELIN Guide. It has since retained its place in the guide’s 2026 Hotel Selection, adding another distinction to its growing list of accolades.

In 2026, The Lind Boracay also received its 6th Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award and ranked for the third time in the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific for the Philippines’ Best Beach, Island + Upcountry Resorts. Furthermore, the resort was recognized among Tatler’s Best Philippines Spotlight Hotels, and also placed No. 8 among Asia’s Top 10 Family Hotels in Smart Travel Asia’s Best in Travel Awards.

After spending a few days here ourselves, we too discovered how charming The Lind Boracay is. From its diverse dining options and thoughtfully designed rooms to its relaxing spa experiences and genuinely warm service, there is much more to discover beyond its accolades. Read on to learn why you would love to stay at The Lind Boracay for your next island escape.

8 Reasons to Stay at The Lind Boracay

1. A calmer corner of Boracay’s White Beach at Station 1

The Lind Boracay, Beachfront

When you come to Boracay, the beach is naturally going to be one of the highlights, and at The Lind Boracay, you can easily step out from the resort and onto the world-famous powder-fine sand.

Located near the northern end of Station 1, the resort offers a more relaxed side of White Beach while still keeping some of Boracay’s best-known attractions within easy reach. Willy’s Rock is a short walk away, while D’Mall, one of the island’s main shopping and dining hubs, can be reached via the resort’s complimentary scheduled shuttle service. During our stay, though, we found ourselves enjoying the simple pleasure of exploring the area on foot, quite literally barefoot. I still remember my fiancé’s happy reaction when he first stepped onto the soft, powdery sand. It was one of those small holiday moments that instantly reminded us why people keep returning to Boracay, and bringing their loved ones.

One morning, we set out early towards Mother Mary Cave and were pleasantly surprised to spot a long-tailed macaques along the way before continuing towards the Diniwid Beach Trail. Later that afternoon, we returned for a romantic sunset stroll, and even took a short walk after dinner, enjoying the cool sea breeze and bright moonlight.

It was a lovely reminder that staying at The Lind Boracay gives you the best of both sides of Boracay; the convenience of being close to its familiar attractions, and the freedom to slow down and simply enjoy the island at your own pace.

2. A taste of the world, all within The Lind Boracay

One of the things we truly enjoyed during our stay was being able to experience such a variety of dining without having to leave the resort. From leisurely breakfast spreads at Tartine to authentic Thai flavours at YĂm and relaxed Mediterranean-inspired meals by the beach at Crust, each restaurant has its own personality and offers a different way to savour your time at The Lind Boracay.

YĂm: authentic Thai cuisine in Boracay

Yim - Authentic Thai restaurant in Boracay

Shortly after our arrival, our culinary adventure began at Yím, the resort’s signature modern Thai restaurant. Helmed by Siriporn “Chef Joy” Krasae-at, described by The Lind Boracay as the only Thai chef in Boracay, Yím takes an authentic approach to Thai cuisine while bringing together ingredients from Thailand and fresh produce from the Philippines. Rather than focusing on just one style of Thai cooking, its menu takes diners on a journey across the country’s diverse culinary regions.

We tried several of Yím’s dishes, including Miang Kham, Gai Sate, Yum Som-O Goong, Tom Yum Prawn and Beef Massaman. The Crab Omelette, generously filled with fresh crab meat, was one of my favourites, while the beautifully plated Mango Sticky Rice made a lovely finish to the meal.

What made the experience particularly memorable was meeting Chef Joy herself. She came out to introduce some of the dishes and even personally served a few of them, including the tom yum and pad thai, making sure we enjoyed them while they were still hot. We also appreciated how thoughtfully the dishes were presented. YĂm notes that they can be tailored to individual tastes, allergies, and dietary requirements, while certain ingredients can also be served separately for guests who may be sensitive to nuts or prefer less spice.

There was something wonderfully personal about the entire experience. Rather than feeling like a typical hotel restaurant, it almost felt as though we had been welcomed into Chef Joy’s own home and invited to share a meal. And that, more than anything, was what stayed with us; the warmth behind the food.

Crust: Mediterranean flavours by the beach

Crust Boracay

For our first dinner at The Lind Boracay, we headed to Crust, the resort’s beachfront restaurant and bar. Crust specialises in Mediterranean cuisine, with pizzas, breads, pastas, roasted meats, and seafood prepared alongside its beachside bar offerings. The restaurant was also included in the Philippine Tatler Dining’s Best Restaurants Guide in 2020, and more recently received a Tripadvisor 2026 Travelers’ Choice award.

We began with impressive appetisers including Tuna Tartare, Burrata Salad, and Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, followed by a generous spread of mains. The Gnocchi Cacio e Pepe, Braised Moroccan-Spiced Lamb Shank, and Grilled King Prawns were among the highlights, while dessert brought a difficult choice between the classic tiramisu, soft-serve gelato, and Dark Chocolate Lava Cake. The latter was my personal favourite.

The generous portions were certainly appreciated, but what we enjoyed just as much was the atmosphere. With the beach right in front of us and acoustic music creating a relaxed backdrop, the setting felt intimate without being overly formal. It was the kind of dinner where there was no need to rush, just good food, a beautiful view, and plenty of time to enjoy each other’s company.

The following day, we returned to Crust for lunch where we sampled more of its offerings, including assorted bruschetta, grilled mortadella skewers, Caesar salad, and gamberi fritti. The highlight, however, was the sisig pizza, an unexpected but delicious meeting of Filipino flavours and a classic comfort food. It was easily one of the dishes we would recommend adding to your Boracay food list.

Tartine: A blend of Filipino and international favourites

Tartine - All-day dining Boracay

For something more versatile, Tartine serves as The Lind Boracay’s all-day dining restaurant, offering a mix of local and international flavours from breakfast through dinner.

Breakfast was one of the meals we particularly looked forward to. The buffet brings together familiar international favourites with Filipino dishes given creative twists, such as Bicol Express puto, fried tinola and ube or strawberry champorado. Alongside the savoury and hearty dishes, we also enjoyed the selection of cold cuts, pastries, and fresh fruits.

For our final dinner at The Lind Boracay, we decided to dine indoors at Tartine. Its cosy interiors made for a quieter evening as we settled in and enjoyed each other’s company while waiting for our food. We tried several international-inspired dishes, including salmon maki, grilled wagyu beef skewers and Indian ebi prawn tempura, followed by mains such as Vietnamese stuffed chicken wings and Japanese barramundi katsu curry. Everything arrived beautifully presented and generously portioned; so generously, in fact, that we ended up taking some back to our room to enjoy later.

With different flavours, settings, and experiences to discover throughout the day, dining here becomes part of the island escape itself.

3. Spacious rooms with a view

The Lind Boracay, Sea Room

With 118 rooms and suites, The Lind Boracay offers a range of accommodations from 45 sqm to an expansive 191 sqm, with balconies overlooking the resort’s gardens, pools or the sea. For us, the generous proportions were one of the first things we appreciated, especially after a day of travelling and exploring Boracay.

We stayed in a Sea Room, which felt bright and spacious from the moment we stepped inside. A selection of sweets had been thoughtfully prepared for our arrival, while The Lind Boracay’s gift bags were placed on the bed, adding a personal touch to our welcome. These small details made the room feel less like somewhere we were simply checking into and more like our own little space for the stay.

One of our favourite features was the private balcony. Although our room overlooked the resort’s pool area rather than directly onto the beachfront, we could still easily catch glimpses of the sea beyond. It became a lovely spot to pause between activities, whether we were taking a moment to enjoy the view or simply winding down after being out in the sun.

We also appreciated having a proper indoor lounging area within the room. It gave us enough space to catch up on some work before heading out to explore, and later provided a comfortable place to settle in when we returned. With so much to see and do around Boracay, having a room that felt genuinely spacious made it all the more enjoyable to come back to.

4. Pools, Juno Kids’ Club, and facilities designed for island living

There is little need to leave the resort in a hurry when there is already plenty to keep you occupied at The Lind Boracay. From swimming and lounging to staying active and keeping little ones entertained, the resort offers a thoughtful mix of spaces for different kinds of island days.

One of the resort’s most distinctive features is its Infinity pool, which overlooks the beach from three levels above the ground. The elevated position gives it a particularly picturesque perspective over Boracay and makes it one of the resort’s standout spaces.

We particularly enjoyed seeing the view change throughout the day.  The morning light makes the space feel bright and refreshing, while the afternoon brings warmer tones as the sun begins to dip over the island.

At beach level, the resort has its main pool facilities, including a lap pool, children’s pool and jacuzzi, open daily from 7am to 10pm. We liked having the option to move easily between the pool and the beach, whether that meant taking a swim or simply heading down for a stroll along the sand.

For those who prefer to stay active while travelling, the gym is open from 6am to 10pm and is equipped for full-body workouts. Families, meanwhile, can make use of Juno Kids’ Club, The Lind Boracay’s dedicated kids’ space for children aged 2 to 11, with an indoor play area and video games to keep younger guests occupied. Next to it is a boutique, where guests can pick up beach essentials and souvenirs, which comes in handy when you need something for a day by the sea or want to bring a little reminder of Boracay home with you.

Taken together, these spaces give The Lind Boracay a lively yet easy-going character. You can spend the morning by the pool, head to the beach for a swim, squeeze in a workout or simply take a slower afternoon without ever feeling like you need to leave the resort. For us, that flexibility was part of what made the stay feel like a proper island escape.

5. Island adventures, made effortless

Boracay Paraw Sailing

After a few leisurely days of enjoying the resort and beach, we eventually felt the pull to get out onto the water. Thankfully, arranging an island adventure at The Lind Boracay does not have to involve much planning on your part. The resort’s Guest Experience team can assist with arranging activities such as paraw sailing, island hopping, and other popular Boracay experiences.

For our own adventure, we opted for a private paraw sailing in the afternoon. We set off a little earlier than sunset, so we did not quite catch the golden-hour colours we had imagined, but the experience was memorable in its own way. More than anything, we remember how kind, cheerful, and fun the team assisting us was, making the entire outing feel relaxed from start to finish.

There was something wonderfully simple about being out on the water, feeling the breeze against our faces, and watching Boracay’s coastline unfold from a different perspective. After spending so much time on the beach, it was refreshing to see the island from the sea instead.

For first-time visitors especially, having the resort team help coordinate these experiences can take much of the guesswork out of planning. You get to choose how you want to spend your time, while the practical details are taken care of behind the scenes, leaving more time for the part that matters: actually enjoying the adventure.

6. A moment to rejuvenate at The Spa Wellness

The Spa Wellness Boracay

After all the swimming, walking and island adventures, we were more than ready for some downtime. One of our favourite ways to wind down was with a massage at The Spa Wellness, The Lind Boracay’’s dedicated wellness space.

We arranged our massage session for the night before checking out, and it turned out to be particularly well timed. After several days of exploring Boracay, having an hour to simply lie back, relax and let the treatments do their work was exactly what we needed before the end of our trip.

For those with a little more time, The Spa Wellness also offers packages that combine 30 minutes of infrared sauna use with treatments such as a classic massage, body scrub, facial or foot spa, depending on the package selected. It is a nice option for guests who want to make wellness a more substantial part of their stay rather than simply fitting in a quick treatment between activities.

7. Celebrations with Boracay as the backdrop

Weddings at The Lind Boracay

Beyond holidays and weekend escapes, The Lind Boracay also offers a beautiful setting for life’s special moments. The same coastal surroundings that make it appealing for a relaxing trip can lend themselves just as naturally to weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate gatherings and other occasions worth celebrating.

The resort has a selection of indoor and outdoor event spaces, including the Ballroom, Beachfront, and Infinity Event Space, allowing celebrations to take on different styles and scales. The Infinity is particularly distinctive, with its elevated position and views across Boracay, while the Beachfront offers a more open-air setting with the sea just beyond. Meanwhile, the Ballroom provides an indoor option with panoramic ocean views and can accommodate larger gatherings.

With the resort’s rooms, dining venues and leisure facilities all within reach, a celebration can easily become a shared island getaway. After exchanging vows by the beach, couples can gather with loved ones over a meal, unwind by the pool or simply spend a few days together before and after the big event.

During our stay, we witnessed several families coming together to celebrate birthdays at Crust, a couple enjoying a romantic anniversary dinner, and even an intimate vow renewal ceremony right by the beach. Seeing these different occasions unfold around the resort made it easy to imagine how The Lind Boracay could become more than just a place to hold an event, with Boracay itself becoming part of the celebration.

8. Warm hospitality from beginning to end

The Lind Boracay - Hotel Manager

If there was one thing that quietly connected every part of our stay, it was the people.

From the moment we arrived at the airport, through our speedboat transfer and hotel arrival, we were met with a level of warmth that made us feel genuinely looked after. We were especially grateful for the early check-in, which gave us a chance to rest and recharge after the journey before heading out to begin our island adventure.

But what stood out most was that the warmth never felt limited to the big moments. Every staff member we encountered made us feel welcome and was genuinely willing to assist. Whether we were dining, heading out for an activity, walking around the resort, or simply asking a question, there was always someone ready to help.

This emphasis on Filipino hospitality is deeply rooted in The Lind Boracay’s identity. The brand describes itself as a fusion of modern living and the warm hospitality of Filipino service culture, with a focus on genuine people-to-people connections. Its stated values also emphasise respect, humility, integrity, creativity, and empowering its team to deliver thoughtful and personalised service.

Luxury is not always about having the grandest suite or the most elaborate facilities. Sometimes, it is simply being treated with genuine kindness. At The Lind Boracay, that warmth is what made our stay feel very special and personal.

Our Final Thoughts

There are many ways to experience Boracay, but staying at The Lind Boracay gave us the opportunity to enjoy different sides of the island within a single stay.

We could step directly onto the powdery sands of Station 1 in the morning, explore the surrounding trails, return for a relaxing afternoon by the pool, enjoy authentic Thai cuisine at YĂm, watch the sunset over dinner at Crust, and end the evening with a massage at The Spa Wellness.

But beyond the beach, rooms and facilities, it was the little moments that stayed with us most. The excitement we felt when we first saw our room and its beautiful views, the warmth we felt when Chef Joy personally served our dishes, and the genuine kindness of the people we met throughout our stay.

With more than a decade of providing satisfying accommodation in Boracay, numerous travel recognitions and the distinction of being the first hotel on the island to be recommended by the MICHELIN Guide, The Lind Boracay has certainly established itself as one of the island’s notable beachfront stays.

If you are planning your next island escape, whether it is a romantic getaway, family holiday or celebration by the sea, The Lind Boracay may just be the kind of place where the journey becomes as memorable as the destination itself.
