Villa Air Bali – A Peaceful Retreat in the Heart of the Bustling Seminyak

What makes a perfect day in Bali? For us, it is lounging and relaxing amidst peaceful views and comfortable ambience, immersing ourselves in the Balinese culture, trying out unique dishes and Balinese flavours, indulging in a signature spa experience, and ending the day with some quality time with loved ones by the pool or in a nearby cafe. At Villa Air Bali, you have the luxury to experience all of these and enjoy a slice of paradise. In this article, we will share 7 serene experiences to discover at Villa Air.

7 Serene Experiences to Discover at Villa Air

1. Experience Balinese zen in the middle of a busy urban hub

Surrounded by generous, tropical gardens in the middle of the busy Seminyak, Villa Air Bali Boutique Resort & Spa is your peaceful retreat, combining Balinese and Asian design with Zen elements, to create a space of ultimate privacy and personal service.

The design of the entire resort is mainly based on the resort’s namesake. “Air” means water in Bahasa Indonesia, symbolising the flow of life, purity, serenity, healing, and cleansing. This element is woven into the resort’s architectural design, and combined with Bali’s beautiful nature – it is the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with loved ones.

Looking to explore nearby areas in Seminyak? Villa Air offers free bicycles for all guests so feel free to discover Seminyak’s charm at your own pace. We borrowed two bicycles and cycled to the nearby Pison Coffee (highly recommend their squid ink fried rice), as well as Seminyak Square for some shopping. The location of Villa Air is incredible as well, as a short ride can get you to the best beach clubs, amazing cafes and restaurants.

2. Enjoy ultimate exclusivity in spacious villas

Villa Air is perfect even if you are travelling with a large group as they have villas in different sizes. We stayed in the four-bedroom Grand Pool Villa, a master villa that has 785 square metres of luxury living space for sharing precious moments with loved ones. The villa comes complete with a large private swimming pool, manicured garden, an air-conditioned living room, four air-conditioned bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a spacious open living and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen even comes with a hot and cold water dispenser, which was incredibly useful for making formula milk for our babies!

The enclosed living room was incredibly spacious, as we comfortably held a party for 10 pax. See how vast their living room is, you can hardly spot little Ally!

For a smaller group of family and friends, the Bamboo Pool Villa is a better option for you. It is not as large as the Grand Pool Villa, but boasts the same exclusivity you might need for the best vacation.

3. Indulge in signature Indonesian and Asian spa treatments

Your stay will not be complete without trying at least one treatment from Spa Air – a space of healing, touch, and aroma.  The spa offers the essence of Indonesian and Asian treatments, though they are especially famous for their rejuvenating Indian Ayurdevatreatments. You may also opt to try their Balinese Herbal Wraps, Javanese Body Scrubs, Therapeutic Tranquility Treatment, Sen Therapy (based on ancient Thai techniques), which are all as relaxing. Definitely the perfect way to end your vacation!

Spa Air features five spacious nature-inspired treatment suites, each equipped with a soaking bath tub and a bathroom with a shower. Though if you wish to enjoy a spa treatment in the privacy of your own villa,  simply ask the staff and they will bring relaxation right to your doorstep.

4. Find your inner peace and balance

In addition to the spa treatments, you may also get to enjoy private yoga classes at Villa Air. Don’t worry, even newbies can join in one as the yoga classes at Villa Air are designed for all levels to enhance vitality and rejuvenation. Also, there are quite a lot of quiet spots all over the resort, so you can practice yoga easily and gain inner peace and balance after learning all about the basics.

Another really interesting activity to try at Villa Air is their soap-making class. They will provide all the materials and by the end of the class, you will get to take home some wonderful natural soaps! You can try this activity with your kids, too. They will probably not enjoy the scent wonderland as much as you do, but we assure you, that they will love experimenting with all the essential oils and lye. It is like a fun science experiment!

5. Sample delectable Balinese dishes

The food at Herbs & Stones was amazing. Their menu emphasises contemporary, creative cuisine with French roots and dedication to locally-sourced fresh and healthy food.

All of these are made even better by the restaurant’s ambience! Nestled in the tranquil tropical gardens inside the resort, this restaurant offers multiple seating options, including lounge sofas and an al fresco bale.

Imagine having your breakfast with this gorgeous view with its peaceful environment. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast at the restaurant. I personally enjoyed the Eggs Florentine, a healthier choice and still very delicious. What’s great about breakfast is that they usually serve fruits and fruit juice first, followed by the main course, and then coffee or tea. Having fruits before your meal is always best, hence we really appreciated the sequence that most hotels do not follow (fruits and coffee usually served first).

If you loved all the dishes that you have tried in Bali, do also consider joining a Balinese cooking class at Villa Air so you can go home with some of the secrets of Balinese cuisine. The private cooking class also includes a visit to a local market with some talented chefs, followed by lunch or dinner with all the dishes you have prepared.

6. A romantic escapade for couples

For couples on a romantic trip, date nights are made even better by Villa Air. They will spoil not only your body, but also your taste buds with the combination of a private romantic 5-course dinner by the pool and a relaxing couple treatment ‘Royal Javanese Lulur’. Well-loved by royal ladies for centuries (but don’t worry, even your male partner will enjoy this, too!) This treatment consists of a traditional Balinese followed by a luxurious body polish – the experience is quite heavenly. Do check out this link to learn more about Villa Air’s honeymoon packages.

7. Seal your love with a dreamy garden wedding

Their event area accommodates up to 80 guests, and after the event, the resort can also house them in their many villas.  Please kindly contact info@villa-airbali.com for more information.
