We stayed in the One-Bedroom Deluxe Villa, and it was impressively spacious – even the bathroom was massive, complete with its own air-conditioning (you could easily fit another bed in there!). We highly recommend Villa 211 – it’s conveniently located right next to the main swimming pool, so you can take a dip anytime without walking too much. Ideal for those who love both comfort and convenience! If you prefer some private family pool time, the villa also has a smaller pool that you can enjoy freely.

But then, if you have the budget and really want to spoil your family, the resort’s Royal Villa is perfect for that royal experience in Bali. Supremely luxurious, the Royal Villa promises five-star exclusivity with state-of-the-art facilities and modern home comforts. Your villa comes with a private garden, pool, and an open-air gazebo, plus, it overlooks the sea, allowing for an even more incredible view. Another highlight is the spa-inspired bathroom, where a glass-panelled Jacuzzi offers breathtaking ocean views – the perfect setting for relaxation with a touch of grandeur.

2. Indulge with an afternoon tea experience by the beach

A royal experience would not be complete without high tea – and you can do it right by the beach at The Royal Santrian. After all, it would not be a tropical Bali holiday without spending time at the beach, right? This resort offers Royal High Tea, providing you with an indulgent afternoon sipping on tea and coffee while overlooking the Tanjung Benoa coast, with panoramic views of the ocean and Penida Island. Available upon request throughout the afternoon, this exquisite experience is priced at just IDR 350,000+ per person — a luxurious yet accessible indulgence.

Travelling with the family? High tea here is just as enjoyable for little ones. While you sip on your tea and savour beautifully presented treats, the kids can delight in their own selection of sweet and savoury bites, charmingly served in a gorgeous birdcage-style stand. Our little ones had a blast playing on the beach — and to our delight, the resort kindly provided beach toys to keep them entertained. The beach is beautiful and clean, and kids loved seeing the big crabs and people fishing in the area. 

 After an afternoon by the sea, you can also opt to have afternoon tea by the pool the next day for a different vibe. The staff will arrange everything for you!

3. Dine and bond with the whole family 

When it comes to dining, The Royal Santrian ensures your culinary experience is as memorable as your stay. Start your day with a sumptuous unlimited à la carte breakfast at AllSpice Ocean Terrace, the resort’s signature oceanfront restaurant. Inspired by the vibrant atmosphere of a luxury beach club, this open-air dining space invites all-day relaxation, featuring cushioned lounge chairs, shaded umbrellas, and elegant table settings arranged on a timber deck with sweeping views of the Indian Ocean. The decor is on-point!

And the food? Absolutely delicious. Guests can enjoy a thoughtfully curated everyday menu, alongside a rotating selection of daily specials — we were pleasantly surprised to find Japanese dishes and fresh salmon featured one morning! The portions are generous, too — so much so that I had to request just one Egg Benedict instead of the usual serving of two.

Some breakfast food we’ve tried

After breakfast, the restaurant rolls out a carefully crafted menu with dishes inspired by Japanese, Thai, and French cuisines, all creatively based on the elements – earth, fire, air, and water. It’s a great spot for a laid-back yet refined lunch or dinner, with plenty of flavours to explore. They also have a great selection of international wines and premium cigars if you are in the mood to treat yourself a little more.

If you prefer authentic Japanese cuisine, the resort also features a Teppanyaki & Sushi Bar, guaranteed to transport your senses to the Land of the Rising Sun. It is also worth noting that every dish from the sushi bar is artfully presented to look just as good as it tastes.

4. Relax and unwind at The Royal Spa

To complete your royal escape, a spa session at The Royal Santrian is an experience not to be missed. Take a moment to unplug from the demands of daily life and immerse yourself in a soothing wellness ritual designed to restore balance to your body, mind, and spirit. You can opt to unwind at The Royal Spa or in the privacy of your villa. 

For the treatment, the Body Senses menu elevates the art of healing with a curated selection of treatments, including Balinese, Aromatherapy, Tension Relief, Hot Stone, and Reflexology massages. Don’t miss the signature “Sekar Jagat” treatment — a luxurious aromatherapy ritual that combines Balinese floral essences to pamper both body and face. Another standout is “Tiying Gading,” a deeply restorative Balinese and deep tissue massage using warm bamboo rolls soaked in essential oils. The Spa also offers exclusive treatments inspired by Bali’s rich traditions, using time-honoured techniques and locally sourced ingredients for a truly authentic and enriching experience.

True to its name, what we appreciated most during our stay at The Royal Santrian was the exceptional service. Every guest enjoys the Royal Butler Service, where a dedicated team of  professional team of butlers will attend to your every need through the fine art of Balinese hospitality.

The resort also provides a complimentary driver service for nearby destinations, adding another layer of convenience to your stay. One evening, we arranged a ride to Bali Collection for dinner, and when we were ready to return, an easy WhatsApp message had the driver promptly on the way. Seamless and stress-free — just the way a holiday should be.
