The view is especially surreal during sunset; we probably saw the most mesmerising sunsets during our stay here!

Food at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort is on a whole new level, mainly because they are home to some of the best restaurants in Dubai. From Asian fusion to Mediterranean, all the food we have tried was seriously mouthwatering and delicious!  Sharing some of the best restaurants we have tried below.

Mekong, for contemporary Thai cuisine

The Thai food at Mekong is a feast for the senses and reminded me of all the delicious local food we had when we were in Bangkok. It is no surprise that Anantara, a distinguished Thai luxury brand, offers the best Thai food experience in Dubai. The culinary offerings at Mekong perfectly complement the restaurant’s contemporary eclectic décor, creating a seamless fusion of flavours and ambience that ensures an exceptional dining experience.

For starters, we had the Som Tam Mala Kor Papaya Salad and the Assorted Mekong Satay in which the chicken was very tender. We also had the Tom Kah Gai Chicken Coconut Soup and the Tom Yum Goong Spicy Prawn Soup, and both soups were absolutely amazing (probably the best Thai soups we ever had!). Another winner was the Gaeng Kiew Wann Thai Green Curry, which was spicier than expected, but delicious nonetheless. Match it with some white rice and you are good to go! And let’s not forget the Roasted Beijing Duck, a hearty main course that rounded off our dining experience with a burst of savoury goodness. Every dish was really extraordinary, satisfying our cravings for authentic Asian cuisine in our Dubai adventure. 

A selection of the best Thai food in Dubai

For families travelling with little ones, Mekong offers a dedicated Kids Menu featuring an array of delightful options to please even the pickiest eaters. From bento boxes filled with a variety of rice and noodle selections to cater to young tastes, to a comprehensive vegetarian and vegan menu for those with dietary preferences, there is something to suit every member of the family.

Bushman’s Restaurant & Bar, for upscale Aussie dining

Whether you prefer to dine al fresco, soak in the balmy breeze of Palm Jumeirah, or cosy up indoors for a sophisticated Down Under dining experience, Bushman’s offers the perfect setting to indulge in some authentic Australian fare. Apparently, they also offer Kangaroo meat but we could not bring ourselves to order it. They said that it is a must-try though! 

What we had instead were the Carrara Australian Wagyu Rib Eye 250g (MB 4-5), boasting exquisite marbling and a perfect meat-to-fat ratio, and cooked to medium rare perfection. The Grilled Whole Lobster, served with lemon beurre blanc, was a standout with its freshness that delighted the senses. For starters, the Backyard Mushroom Soup was a flavourful delight, while the Grilled Tiger Prawns and Pan-seared Hokkaido Scallops were equally impressive. Even our little ones found joy in their meals thanks to the restaurant’s thoughtful Kids Menu offerings.

To end your meal on a sweet note, we highly recommend ordering the Australian Dessert, expertly constructed by a chef right at your table. This interactive treat is sure to delight both adults and kids alike, as the chef artfully combines a medley of delicious ingredients including Pavlova meringue, velvety chocolate mousse, decadent chocolate soil and sauce, luscious chantilly cream, tangy raspberry coulis, refreshing raspberry sorbet, and freshly caramelized mango cheeks to create a visually stunning masterpiece.

Crescendo, for casual all-day dining

Crescendo’s breakfast buffet offers an extensive array of cuisines from around the world, including Asian, Indian, Western, and Middle Eastern delights. The vibrant Levantine hues of the live cooking station add a colourful touch to the dining experience. We also appreciated how they offer gluten-free options and a variety of specialty milk choices such as almond milk, oat milk, soy milk, brown rice drink, and organic coconut milk, perfect for those with dietary options.

Another thoughtful thing at Crescendo was the Kids Corner they have during breakfast. Here, children can engage in playful activities and enjoy a moment of quiet reading while parents take a well-deserved break to unwind and savour their meals.

6. Catch expansive views of the Arabian Gulf from The Beach House 

For those seeking both delectable cuisine and stunning vistas, The Beach House is a must-visit during your stay at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. This serene beachfront restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere complemented by breathtaking bay windows that flood the interior with natural light. You can eat by the beach, too! As the sun sets, the terrace transforms into a tranquil lounge infused with the sweet aroma of shisha. Our favourites from the menu include the flavourful Calamari and the indulgent Tiramisu.

Another spot where you can grab some light bites (and afternoon tea, too!) while enjoying breathtaking views is at The Lotus Lounge. Nestled on the beach hotel’s island-style terrace, this tranquil retreat offers captivating views of the shimmering Gulf. As the sun sets, the lounge transforms into a vibrant haven, with sleek, ambient music enveloping the venue, creating a captivating ambience over the waters. The Lotus Lounge also caters to cigar connoisseurs, boasting a selection of premium tobaccos sourced from around the globe.
