1. Getting from Singapore to Bintan

• Buy Your Tickets Online The return ferry tickets can be purchased online . Return weekend ferry ticket in economy class costs around SGD65 while those in emerald class costs around SGD110.

• Ferry Check-in on Departure Day Passengers are requested to arrive at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (BRF Check-in counter #01-21) at least one and a half hours before departure time with a confirmation copy of tickets and passport for check-in.

2. Where to stay in Bintan

There is a variety of lodging options from budget hostels to five-star upscale luxury resorts, starting from nightly rate of SGD15.

I would recommend staying at Grand Lagoi Village ( formerly known as Swiss-Belhotel Lagoi Bay), a four-star hotel situated in the prime tropical beach area of Lagoi Bay. One night stay costs around SGD150. This luxury property is surrounded by sweeping bay views, lush tropical greenery, and white sandy beaches. It is absolutely an ideal weekend escape for newlyweds to spend quality and bonding time. The hotel also provides shuttle service from ferry terminal to the hotel.

There is a comfortable deluxe room with in-room 40-inch Samsung Smart TV plus the clean toilet with rainshower and good room lighting that calls for a selfie. Cannot help to take multiple self shots and I am loving the hotel room so much!

3. What to do in Bintan

Looking for adrenaline rush? There are plenty of activities to choose from here in Bintan Wake Park, Treasure Island such as Aqua Glide, Bumper Boat, Jetovator, and Stand Up Paddle among others. One of the activities that I tried is wake boarding. Insanely fun! Here is a great and successful first attempt on which I also learnt how to do a basic trick; ollie on a wakeboard. If you and your partner are avid adventure seekers, you will love Bintan Island and enjoy a memorable trip of a lifetime. Spending quality time together is one of the best ways to understand and affirm your love for each other which will make your marriage stronger.
