For a grand wedding, the Grand Marquee no doubt presents a lavish and grandiose setting. It is one of the most unique and impressive venues that we have seen in Singapore! It exudes the romance and glamour of an “outdoor” canopy wedding, but comes with indoor comforts like air conditioning, which is extremely important in Singapore’s humid and unpredictable weather. You also get good visual, sound and lightning equipment. For our wedding at another venue, we had to make arrangements for our own tech equipment as the in-house ones were not sufficient, and I must say being able to avoid this hassle is extremely helpful.

Beautifully adorned with chic chandeliers and equipped with a state-of-the-art computerized multi-coloured lighting system, the marquee sits on the sprawling Palm Terrace with the colonial edifice of Hotel Fort Canning forming a magnificent backdrop. Whether you are planning for a red carpet arrival, a ballroom wedding or a canopy wedding under the stars, this set up will be immaculately organized for your big day. The Grand Marquee can seat up to 1,000 guests.

3. Dine in Grand Ballrooms with exquisite settings

For couples seeking more conventional options, the Lavender Ballroom and Legends Ballroom pose great options for you.

The Lavender Ballroom is exquisite, with wide windows that extend throughout the width of the ballroom walls. Peer through to the flora and fauna of Fort Canning Park and be surrounded by relaxing lush greenery. The Lavender Ballroom comprises of Lavender I, II, III, which can be partitioned to suit your wedding needs if need be. This ballroom is perfect for intimate banquets amidst nature.

The Legends Ballroom presents a spacious and lofty ballroom for your banquet. There is plenty of room, even for a dance floor! Similar to the Lavender ballroom, it is made up of 3 sections that can be partitioned any way you like. The understated beauty and elegance of the ballroom give y ou a versatility in decorating it to achieve your dream wedding. A notable mention would be the length of the ballroom, which allows for a grand and long aisle for your red carpet entrance. You also have multiple projection screens and systems that can be placed throughout the ballroom so your loved ones will not miss a moment of your special day.

4. Or opt for more intimate venues

Hotel Fort Canning presents not only grand and spectacular venues for your big day, but the estate also provides intimate venues for couples who prefer a cozier affair. Both indoor and outdoor venues are available.  For outdoor venues, you can choose between the Pool deck, Sun deck, Fountain Terrace and Tisettanta Terrace.

Both the sun and pool deck make a great venue for your solemnization as you can enjoy a pleasing ambience of blue skies, swaying palm trees and the calming presence of the pool waters. The Tisettanta Terrace is surrounded by lush greens and has a great view overlooking Fort Canning Park.

Indoor venues include the Glass House, Jasmine Room and Living Room.

All three rooms feature wide floor-to-ceiling windows and an unparalleled view of lush greenery and tree tops. The Glass House is even more special as the entire room is surrounded by glass, allowing for natural sun rays to enter and fill up every corner of the room. These rooms are perfect for wedding luncheons and solemnization ceremonies.

Hotel Fort Canning offers one of the largest selections of wedding themes that you can choose from for your solemnization and banquet. 11 themes, to be exact! We had the pleasure of tasting Hotel Fort Canning’s western menu for weddings, and we were delighted at both the taste and presentation of the food! Each dish was well prepared, with a good portion sized, and the tasteful flavour leaves you wanting more. We do expect your guests to be extremely satisfied with the menu!
