Sound of the Sea Villa belongs to the exclusive estate of Pantai Lima, built right on the beachfront at Pererenan, an unspoilt fishing community in Canggu, Bali. It is private and cosy, the perfect place for those looking to unwind. At the same time, it is only a short drive to the north of Seminyak, Bali’s centre of sophisticated shopping, restaurants and nightlife.

Of course, one of the best parts of staying at a beachfront villa is having easy access to the beach itself. Here at Sound of the Sea, you can head straight to one of Bali’s famous black beaches the moment you wake up.  The beach has huge waves almost throughout the entire day – even bigger than those you can see in the Canggu region – so pro surfers will definitely love the vibes here!

Sound of the Sea offers unobstructed sea views from the villa up to the bedroom suites inside. There are 6 bedrooms here, but the best bedroom is probably the beachfront-facing one, whereby you can literally listen to the sound of the sea all night long. The bungalows are linked together by a majestic 100 sqm seaview open-concept living room. The living room is seriously stunning, we even mistook it for a villa lobby!

On top of that, the villa comes with a spacious lawn and garden, wherein you can hold outdoor games, parties, corporate events, or even better – a Bali destination wedding.     

The huge garden was also the perfect place for our baby Ally to roam about happily, especially since she just started to learn how to walk.   

If the spacious lawn is still not enough to keep the adrenaline pumping, head over to the villa’s very own tennis court!

3. Newly-renovated interiors 

We really love how the Sound of the Sea Villa turned out after its renovation. The villa is decorated in earthy tones and punches of red, with a careful mix of traditional furniture and modern designs. All in all, it looks so modern and fresh – you can get Instagram-worthy shots almost anywhere! 

Each master bedroom has its own distinct personality and its own luxurious bathroom. There is also a library in one of the master bedrooms which is ideal for your afternoon reading.

For those in Bali to relax, the Sound of the Sea Villa also comes with a beautiful floating bale in the middle of a serene pond. It’s the best place to do some yoga! 

4. Gorgeous infinity pool with a heated jacuzzi

A private villa experience is made even better when you have your own swimming pool. Here at Sound of the Sea Villa, it’s not just a regular pool, but a gorgeous 20-meter beachfront infinity pool. This pool was probably one of the main highlights of our stay – it is actually long enough for us to do some laps! 

There is also a warm jacuzzi in front of the infinity pool in case you want to relax, as well as a shaded kids pool for the little ones.

And as you can see from the photo above, there’s a gazebo right beside the pool. You may eat your breakfast there, or just hang out there while your loved ones splash around the pool. There are also sunbeds by the pool, so you can lay there and be comfortable while soaking up the sun.

5. Delicious spread of Balinese food – thanks to private chef service

Sound of the Sea Villa may not have its own restaurant, but its excellent private chefs are definitely worth the visit. We have enjoyed every single meal we had there, but if there’s a need to choose a favourite, we are highly recommending the local dishes. The Urab (Balinese vegetable dish) and Ayam Betutu (Balinese chicken dish) we had were so, so good!

The food are not just delicious; they were served generously, too! We ordered a lobster for dinner and what we had was huge and flavourful. The prawns and beef tenderloin we had were really good as well.

6. Highly experienced staff to take care of your every need

Sound of the Sea Villa not only has the most incredible private chefs – the entire staff was wonderful. From the cleaners to the waiting staff, all of them were amazing and took good care of us. Special mention to butlers Dodi and Dewa who were really attentive to our every need, making it a breeze to do anything we want in the villa. Marka, the villa manager, also provided excellent service and made sure we felt at home. We really felt welcomed all throughout our stay!
