Many of us are familiar with interior designers. Much like a wedding planner who takes care of your wedding timeline and vendors, an interior designer takes care of your home renovation to create a functional living space. Interior stylists, on the other hand, perform the work parallel to what wedding stylists do – they transform your home to make it tasteful, stylish and beautiful. In other words, make it Pinterest-perfect.
Where interior designers focus on construction, coordinating contractors and the renovation timeline, interior stylists work with furniture and home decor to personalise and beautify your home, making it unique and truly yours. Often there is overlap between the two, but what’s magical is that an interior stylist can uplift or refresh a home without structural changes. In this issue, we discover 5 popular interior stylists in Singapore, whose expertise is in transforming homes into gorgeous spaces.

How to finance your home renovation or styling?
The cost of hiring an interior stylist depends on their level of experience and the amount of work you require to be done, hence it is better to reach out to your desired interior stylist for a customised quote. Some interior stylists like Arete Culture offer a consultation package to get started – their Design in a Day package costs $900.
If you need to take up a loan to finance your home renovation or styling, do note that renovation loans often do not give you the cash upfront, hence you may not be able to use it for shopping, depending on whether your interior designer or stylist includes it in their quotation. If so, you might wish to consider a personal loan instead. Personal loans have slightly higher interest rates than renovation loans, but you get the cash flexibility. Our friends at Singsaver have compiled the best personal loans for you to check out.
When shopping for your home, do keep in mind to prioritize and focus on the essentials first. Leave the ‘nice-to-haves’ for later, for it’s best to not spend beyond your means. When buying your lights, we also suggest using credit cards that give you rebates, so you get extra savings. Every little bit of savings can go a long way!
We hope our list of top interior stylists has helped you! Do share it with your friends who need it too! Stay tuned for more guides, and in the meantime, do check out our other guides below.
