19 Best Family Resorts in Bali
1. The Tulou Bali by Nakula
A luxurious and private cliffside escape
The Tulou Bali by Nakula Villa Management and Rental invites families of all sizes to indulge in a unique blend of luxury and intimacy. Unlike typical family resorts in Bali-Jimbaran, this property offers spacious accommodations that ensure every guest enjoys ample comfort and privacy. The resort boasts unique villas that can be booked collectively, accommodating up to 10 bedrooms—ideal for large gatherings. Common areas like expansive outdoor decks, generous living and dining spaces, and the main restaurant are available if you wish to bond with all of your party. Of course, there are also more intimate villas for smaller families such as their two-bedroom villa, with its own private rooftop pool overlooking a spectacular cliffside view.
Beyond the accommodations, the resort’s main pool steals the spotlight, perched on the cliffside with sweeping vistas of the Indian Ocean—an ideal setting for unforgettable family moments. Our little kiddos and us surely had loads of fun just spending some quality time together. Special thanks to our butlers as well who treated us like their own family and made our trip truly fuss-free!
Another must-try activity you can do at this family-friendly resort in Bali is to cap off your day with a delightful seafood and BBQ night hosted at your private villa by your private chef, ideally timed to begin at sunset for a picturesque cliffside dining experience. Picture yourself savouring fresh seafood against the stunning backdrop – it is quite the experience! Meanwhile, those wanting to explore Bali can try Activities by Nalula, perfect for thrill-seekers and adventure lovers. Alternatively, take advantage of The Tulou Bali by Nakula’s central location in Southern Bali to visit the beach and nearby beach clubs around Jimbaran, Uluwatu, and Nusa Dua, and discover the wonders of this tropical paradise.

2. The Samaya Seminyak Bali
Escape to a tropical paradise that caters to the whole family at The Samaya Seminyak Bali. Nestled along the sun-kissed shores of Seminyak Beach, this exquisite resort takes pride in providing a family-friendly atmosphere, ensuring that every member of the family, from the little ones to the adults, feels welcomed and catered to. There are plenty of engaging and educational experiences for children, including fruit carving, kite painting, and coconut leaf art sessions. Meanwhile, the adults can have their fun indulging in arts and culture experiences such as Balinese dance lessons and cooking classes. They can also relax with a yoga or spa session right in front of the ocean!
Beyond all these fun activities, The Samaya Seminyak Bali understands that family vacations are about creating lasting memories together. For relaxing afternoons, head over to the resort’s stunning main pool overlooking the beach. The water is heated so even kids could spend hours just splashing around. The ambience around the pool is also quiet, so it is perfect for just lounging around. However, if you ask us, the best spot for family bonding is really at the resort’s award-winning Breeze Restaurant. Not only will you be delighted by the tantalising flavours of authentic Balinese dishes, but also get to savour picturesque views of the Indian ocean. And oh, be sure to arrive there just in time for sunset to see the sky being painted in the hues of pink and gold. It is absolutely gorgeous! While you are there, do not forget to take photos by the beach as well.
As for the accommodations, the best choice for families would be the Two and Three-Bedroom Royal Courtyard Villas. With spacious and elegantly designed accommodations, there’s ample space for the whole family to relax and unwind. You will also be glad to know that the staff at the resort takes care of its guests well, especially when it comes to families like us. During our visit, they provided us with a really stylish baby cot for Aaron. They even gave us a free bag! Our butler was also such a gem, and we are incredibly grateful for the overall service we have received at The Samaya Seminyak Bali.

3. Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa
If you want to bask in the beautiful views of Uluwatu while staying in Bali with your family, you can consider Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa. This fairly new resort offers the epitome of luxury amenities and a genuine 5-star hotel experience, coupled with stunning vistas of the sand and ocean. There is nowhere else on the island where the sky and sea converge as charmingly as they do at Renaissance.
While it is certainly a lovely experience relaxing in one of Renaissance Bali Uluwatu’s luxury hotel suites (do consider booking their Larger Suite if you are travelling with family), nothing compares to the experience of lounging around in their expansive infinity pool. This is undoubtedly the highlight of the resort, offering sweeping views of the forest and ocean against a backdrop of crystal-clear blue skies. The pool also has a shallow section for kids to comfortably and safely frolic around. Moreover, the pool was surrounded by a sun deck, complete with plenty of rattan loungers to relax comfortably and soak up the sun. For the best pool lounging experience, be sure to grab a refreshing cocktail from the Pool Bar. They have a 1 for 1 cocktail during happy hour so do watch out for that! Meanwhile, those looking to have a quiet time can go to the Jungle Pool for a more serene ambience.
The stunning pool is just the beginning of what Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa could offer. With a staff that always goes above and beyond to provide an exceptional experience, guests will never be bored. The resort even organizes mini-gaming events like water polo (super fun!), darts, and ping pong, making it an excellent choice for families or large groups. Renaissance Bali Uluwatu also has a 24-hour fitness centre, a rejuvenating spa, a pottery studio, and a variety of bars and restaurants. Your kids will also never run out of things to do as the resort’s Kids’ Club changes theme daily. For more info, read our advertorial here.
If you want to go for a fun day out at the beach, the resort also offers a free shuttle to Roosterfish Beach Club, which is suitable for the entire family.

4. Grand Hyatt Bali
Grand Hyatt Bali is undoubtedly one of the most massive resorts we have ever been in. Nestled in the heart of Nusa Dua, Bali, this colossal resort truly lives up to its name by providing a haven for adults seeking relaxation and a paradise tailor-made for families with children. It has everything for a family-friendly vacation, including five outdoor pools, hundreds of luxurious hotel suites, a vast sandy beach, and so on.
Beyond all that, the resort looks like an enormous enchanted garden filled with vibrant flowers and towering trees, which creates a truly magical atmosphere for families. Our little ones, Ally and Aaron, definitely loved watching all the animals we encountered at the resort – it almost felt like a zoo trip! And let’s not forget the charming surprise awaiting at the dedicated Kid’s Club, where adorable fluffy bunnies provide endless joy and cuddles for our little ones.
Families visiting Bali are probably looking for its famed beaches and sunsets. You are visiting a tropical paradise, after all! That said, trust us when we say that not all beached in Bali are maintained just the same; some are unkempt, and some have very coarse sand. But then, the private beach at Grand Hyatt Bali is far from the rest. The beach there is near perfection, and with its surrounding powdery white sand looking so soft and inviting, it truly is a family haven.
And as if those experiences were not enough, Grand Hyatt Bali takes family vacations further by providing unique culinary experiences perfect for the entire family. Immerse yourselves in the traditional Balinese culture with a Kecak dance performance and an Indonesian food buffet afterwards. If you want to go on a global culinary journey, join Le Petit Chef in his gastronomic adventure to different countries. This is probably one of the most unique dining experiences we ever had as the food (a delicious 6-course meal, that is) was served together with a mini movie via 3D mapping.
For those craving Asian flavours, Grand Hyatt Bali also has its very own Japanese restaurant – Nampu. And trust us – the Teppanyaki at Nampu is definitely a must! Chef Bagas, the head chef, served top-notch quality food, plus performed tricks and entertained us throughout. Their Nampu set (with lobster, Sashimi mori, and so much more!) and Australian sirloin steak tasted amazing as well. Read here for our complete experience at the resort.

5. Soori Bali
While Soori Bali may not fit the conventional image of a family resort, it offers a serene and tranquil haven that can be enjoyed by every family member. This luxurious retreat is an ideal choice for those seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating family vacation, as it is situated far from the bustling tourist spots of Bali. With its breathtaking location, Soori Bali encompasses everything you desire for an unforgettable Bali getaway – from volcanic black sands and majestic mountain vistas to lush rice fields and vibrant gardens. Sunsets from Soori Bali are utterly captivating as well, especially when witnessed from the resort’s expansive black sand beach.
The picturesque beach at Soori Bali becomes a backdrop for awe-inspiring moments with the whole family. While we did not have the opportunity to witness the resort’s annual turtle release event (running from June until year end), we can only imagine the excitement it would have brought, providing a unique and educational experience for our children to observe and learn about baby turtles up close. Nonetheless, this is just one of the many family-friendly activities that Soori Bali has to offer.
With their Journeys for Younger Guests, our little ones can embark on unforgettable adventures such as exploring nature, engaging with the local community, or immersing themselves in Balinese culture. Meanwhile, parents can craft their own adventures, taking advantage of the resort’s daily complimentary activities that cater to all ages. Families can delight in a memorable Sunset Dinner by the beach, where they can not only savour delectable dishes but also soak in the mesmerising views as the sun paints the sky with vibrant colours. Amidst these family-oriented experiences, there are also romantic excursions awaiting couples, ensuring a perfect blend of relaxation and enchantment for everyone.
For the utmost privacy and comfort, retreat to one of Soori Bali’s exquisite Ocean Pool Villas, where families can bask in luxury and tranquility. These villas are thoughtfully designed and equipped with modern amenities that guarantee a luxurious stay. Notably, we were delighted to find a Dyson hairdryer in our villa – a testament to the resort’s commitment to providing the best experiences for its guests.

6. Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach
When you think of Bali, you will probably imagine its boundless natural wonders. But there is more to Bali than that as this island is also home to an enchanting collection of stylish and captivating hotels, each offering a unique blend of beauty and relaxation. Among these remarkable choices lies Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach, a boutique gem exuding eclectic elegance. Nestled in vibrant Seminyak, the hotel’s design-led concept pays homage to local culture, with intricately carved wooden motifs reminiscent of Balinese artistry. Every corner invites discovery, an immersion into Bali’s heritage and charm, creating a haven that is both captivating and distinctly Instagram-worthy.
But then, Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach is more than just its aesthetics – it is also a fantastic place for kids to have a blast! The hotel grounds are super spacious, so there are plenty of spaces for kids to explore and run around. These expansive outdoor spaces, including a stylish and inviting pool, are also perfect for relaxing and making memories with your loved ones. On top of that, the hotel offers a mega Jenga set that our daughter, Ally, absolutely loved playing with.
For an enriched family bonding experience, consider staying at the One Bedroom Pool Villa at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach. Nestled within a lush enclave beneath palm trees, inspired by Balinese traditional villages or Banjars, this villa is an exquisite sanctuary for couples, families, or friends seeking heightened privacy during their holiday escape. Offering a generously spacious bedroom with an indulgent spa-inspired bathroom, a sprawling living room, and a dedicated dining pavilion, the villa provides an abundance of space for relaxation and togetherness. The real highlight, however, was the villa’s private pool, which became a joyful playground for our little ones. We also loved our leisurely moments in the plush and opulent daybed swing by the poolside. All villa units also come with the service of a private butler to assist you with your daily needs.

7. Villa Kapungkur
If you are looking for a serene haven in Bali for your family, then Villa Kapungkur is the place to be. Located in the beautiful and peaceful Jimbaran, stepping into Villa Kapungkur is like entering an enchanted garden with a unique Balinese touch. The entire property is a feast for the eyes, with every corner perfect for an Instagram-worthy shot. However, what makes Villa Kapungkur really stand out is how there are many places inside the property to bond and create lasting memories with your loved ones. It is actually designed like a traditional Javanese-style house, so just like your home, it boasts balconies, a spacious indoor living area (featuring a mesmerising fish tank that your kids will surely appreciate), a dining room, and an open-air pavilion/living area, which you will hardly find in any other family resort in Bali.
Families can relax in one of the spacious bedrooms inside the villa that are tastefully decorated with traditional Balinese elements, at the same time, equipped with modern amenities that make you feel right at home. There is also a 15-metre pool (complete with a waterfall feature!) which is the perfect place to beat the Bali heat with your loved ones. Take it from us and try night swimming at Villa Kapungkur – you will surely love how the pool and garden transform to look even more enchanting at night!
Private villas in Bali do not usually have dedicated spaces for children, but the endearing staff from Villa Kapungkur made sure to rise above the rest by setting up a mini play area for our little ones. They helped to create a mini Kid’s Club for our kids inside the villa’s spacious living area, and even brought along some toys and a play mat, so our kids also got to enjoy while the adults hang out. We truly appreciate how the villa staff, especially the villa manager Mr Ram, always went above and beyond to make our stay truly comfortable. We felt right at home with their exceptional service. Oh, and since you are in Jimbaran already, please do not forget to seek the staff’s recommendations on the best seafood restaurants in the area! This is honestly one of the highlights of staying in Jimbaran.
Overall, we must say that Villa Kapungkur is the perfect destination for a memorable getaway with your loved ones in Bali. Discover more about our remarkable stay at Villa Kapungkur in our dedicated advertorial here.
Villa Kapungkur is one of the many luxurious properties managed by The Luxe Nomad, a top-tier luxury villa booking portal and property management in Asia Pacific. 8. Conrad Bali
When it comes to family vacations, finding common ground can be a challenge. However, everyone can agree for sure that nothing spells for a more fun vacation than some well-deserved beach time. With that, Conrad Bali offers the ultimate tropical beach resort experience on the beautiful coast of Nusa Dua. The view from this resort’s private beach is simply phenomenal. And if you are lucky, you might even get to see the majestic Mt Agung peeking out on a clear day!
Naturally, the beach is not all that Conrad Bali offers. This expansive family resort in Bali boasts a multitude of attractions and activities to keep everyone entertained. But while you are there, do not forget to snap a photo by Conrad Bali’s iconic Infinity Chapel. This architectural gem is actually a wedding venue, but it also makes for the most picturesque backdrop while in Bali.
Conrad Bali features multiple pools as well, which include a Beach Pool that has actual sand. Although there is a private beach right in front of the resort, your little ones can play more freely at the Beach Pool as it is probably much cleaner there. Our kids love playing with the sand, but what they enjoyed, even more, was their time at the resort’s Kids Club. If you want to have some alone time with your partner at the Jiwa Spa, you can leave your kids at the Club and have someone at the resort take care of them. But personally, we wanted to spend more time with our kids as they immerse themselves in various engaging kid-friendly activities. It was so much fun playing masak masak (play-pretend cooking), racing toy cars, and toppling bowling pins with our little ones!

9. Viceroy Bali
A place where time seems to slow down, the award-winning Viceroy Bali is the perfect spot for some family downtime. This luxury resort is situated on a ridge overlooking the verdant Valley of the Kings, so nature and tranquillity will truly be within your reach. The resort is actually family-owned and managed (with some of them present on site daily!), so the intimate and friendly ambience is felt throughout the resort.
Our family actually got to stay in one of their luxurious, contemporary Balinese villas that comes with its own heated infinity-edge pool. The pool is perfect for babies, little kiddos, and those with sensitive skin as it is treated with the more effective and sustainable hydrogen peroxide instead of chlorine. Our little girl had a blast in the pool!
Once your kids are settled for the day, request a babysitting service so you and your partner can head out for a much-needed date night at the sophisticated Apéritif Restaurant. More than just the delish meals, the restaurant boasts a stunning 1920s colonial-style interior that makes the best photos. It even comes complete with a lovely wine cellar for amazing drinks to end the night. Their 6-course degustation menu is definitely a must-try, especially the Chawanmushi and Tokusen Wagyu Carpaccio they serve.

10. Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay
For families who wish to immerse themselves in the magical Bali culture, then Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay is the place to be. The resort is an idyllic retreat in the calm Jimbaran Bay, designed like an authentic Balinese Village, so you can truly be at one with Bali’s magical energy and gentle nature. Guests can do all sorts of activities here, including cultural tours, traditional dance lessons, artist workshops, and so much more. There is also a dynamic Jimba Kids Club (complete with a little slide, play area, and pool outside!) for the much younger ones, where they can go on kid-friendly adventures while learning more about Bali, like crab hunting and coconut bowling. Looking for the best child-parent bonding activity? Enrol in a family surfing lesson or splash around the resort’s huge pool!
To top it all off, children ages 6 and under dine free (when accompanied by a parent, of course) in all restaurants inside the resort, while half-price meals are offered for children ages 7-12. This is your chance to let your kids experience fancy meals in such a sophisticated setting!

11. Alila Villas Uluwatu
A 5-star resort where luxurious comfort meets sustainability, Alila Villas Uluwatu is your perfect escape in a tropical paradise. In fact, it is the first-ever resort in Indonesia to receive the highest level of certification for its green initiatives, which include the use of local and recycled materials, water conservation scheme with soaks and rain gardens, a Zero Waste Policy, an organic garden, and a whole lot more. Alila also supports the R.O.L.E. Foundation and other worthy causes. So, hopefully, if you do stay here in the future, please do consider donating to support. What’s also great about Alila Villas Uluwatu is that their cliff-edge and poolside villas are all baby-friendly. When we stayed at one of their villas just recently, we were surprised by all the baby amenities inside. They provided us with a Pigeon steam steriliser, a baby playmat, a baby hooded towel, a baby potty, a baby bathtub, and a baby high chair for feeding. They even gave our Baby girl her own adorable little bathrobe and tiny bathroom slippers, which we really loved. All these just prove how world-class their service can be!

12. The Amala Estate
Seminyak is known to be incredibly busy, but with the exclusive Amala Estate, you can enjoy some much-needed privacy in your little paradise. Upon check in, stroll through the lines of coconut trees and down the verdant walkways to reach your chosen abode. The Amala Estate offers two-bedroom and three-bedroom villa options, complete with a private pool and a tranquil garden with sundeck, and a fully-equipped kitchenette. You can even request for private chefs to fix a feast for your whole family.
Speaking of dining, our breakfast at the villa restaurant was great. We were served everything from miso soup and croissants to Eggs Atlantic and nasi goreng. You can even request for breakfast to be served to your very own villa for extra comfort – no need to walk to the restaurant in the morning! Not only do the chefs know their way around Indonesian, Southeast Asian, and Western cuisine, but they can also prepare for your dietary goals and requirements, and even teach you how to cook Balinese food. While you can stay in and simply order meals, you can also check out our favourite local restaurant – Warung Babi Guling Pak Malen.
Their therapists also provide something special in the in-villa spa. With knowledge of Asian medicine and Western philosophies, these experts offer a wide range of treatments. From simple Balinese massages to acupuncture to Tibetan bowl music therapy, they can customise a programme to suit your health, fitness, and lifestyle needs.
With a private pool in your villa, you can look forward to some precious family time with your little kiddos. There is a small area with shallow waters – perfect for your little bub to frolick and splash around. What’s also great is that there is a laundry shop nearby with very affordable rates for laundry. Thanks to our friendly butler and the rest of The Amala Estate’s amazing staff, we definitely enjoyed our stay. You can even check out their latest offers and treat you and your partner or the entire family with something special.
