Exceptional care from the lovely villa staff 

Of course, our stay at Sohamsa Ocean Estate would not be as lovely if it were not for their very helpful and friendly staff. We are especially thankful to our villa manager, Pak Bayu, and his team of 13 amazing individuals who went above and beyond to ensure that our every need was met. They struck the perfect balance between being available whenever we needed them, and providing us the space to relax and enjoy our vacation. Pak Bayu even assisted us with money exchange, purchasing diapers for our little ones, and stocking up on additional drinks and snacks. Additionally, the villa provides three butlers available from morning until 11 pm, who are just a phone call or text away.

 And, let’s not forget about the villa’s private chef, who deserves high praise for his delectable culinary creations, both western cuisines and Indonesian dishes. Working with him was also very seamless, all we had to do was pre-purchase our groceries and order from the menu, and the chef took care of the rest. The cost for his service was also quite reasonable, with only a small 20% handling fee added to the price of the groceries. Overall, the exceptional service and attention to detail provided by the staff at Sohamsa Ocean Estate made our stay all the more memorable.

If you are visiting Sohamsa Ocean Estate with a large group, we highly recommend ordering the poolside BBQ from their menu. The grilled fish was incredibly decadent, the jumbo prawns and squids were fresh and succulent, and the beef tenderloin and striploin were cooked to perfection. The sambal matah was also topnotch, you can pair it with almost everything!

For those who prefer to spend time indoors, Villa Kapungkur offers an enclosed living area that features a large plasma TV with Netflix, perfect for movie marathons with your group. The cosy space is adorned with Balinese elements, but the focal point is the stunning fish tank at the centre of the room. Our little Ally especially loved watching the little fishes swim by!

They welcomed us with such warmth and incredible Balinese hospitality, and always went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety, making us feel right at home throughout our stay. From setting up a mini play area with mats and toys for our little ones to arranging extra cots and attending to our every need, the staff, especially Mr Ram, the villa manager, provided outstanding service. Mr Ram even took the time to personally prepare coffee for us every morning, which we truly appreciate.
